Job summary

Eaton's IS VEH EMB division in Reynosa, MX is seeking a Test Engineer to execute product testing, data acquisition and reporting of component performance for low voltage vehicle controls. You will work with global product teams to understand testing requirements, lead validation testing, and contribute to the launch of new designs while ensuring conformance to standards.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of automotive/electrical/testing experience.
• Proficient with LabVIEW, Python, C compilers and related tools.
• Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CAN, J1939, and LIN.
• Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
• Experience with test equipment: DAQs, oscilloscopes, DMMs, Power supplies.
• Experience with environmental chambers and basic maintenance.
• Experience with shock, vibration, ESD testing and force/travel measurement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global teams to develop and launch new designs for automotive electrical products.
• Lead validation testing and create test plans/procedures (DVP&R, PVP&Rs).
• Develop test fixtures and test environments for NPI and production.
• Analyze testing data and summarize results for reports.
• Provide technical support to solve issues and root-cause analysis.
