Cognizant is seeking a Test Analyst to design, develop, implement and execute automated and manual test cases for automotive software features across domains. The role focuses on robust test code development, defect analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will work on vTestStudio, Python, Bash and CAPL scripting, and contribute to test strategy, documentation and continuous improvement in a day-shift office setting, with travel as needed.

Formación

• 3–7 years of experience in test analysis and execution for automotive V&V.
• Advanced proficiency with vTestStudio for test design and automation.
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash and CAPL for test harnesses.
• Understanding automotive domain concepts and safety functions.
• Proficient English communication with international teams.
• Willingness to work from office in day shift and travel when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test strategies and detailed test cases for automotive verification and validation projects using vTestStudio and related scripting tools to ensure rigorous coverage of functional and nonfunctional requirements.
• Develop robust and reusable test frameworks that integrate Python Bash and CAPL scripting to streamline test execution workflows and improve overall efficiency of the testing process.
• Execute manual and automated test suites in an office based environment during day shifts to validate automotive systems and document outcomes in a clear and structured manner.
• Analyze test results and reported issues to identify root causes propose targeted corrective actions and contribute to continuous improvement of product quality and test maturity.
• Collaborate closely with cross functional engineering and quality teams to clarify requirements align on test scope and ensure that verification and validation activities support project milestones and customer expectations.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans test procedures traceability reports and execution summaries that support audits and internal compliance needs.
• Optimize existing test scripts and frameworks by refactoring code improving performance and enhancing maintainability to support evolving automotive product lines and features.

• Support integration and system level testing activities for automotive components and software by coordinating test environments hardware interfaces and test data preparation.
• Contribute to domain specific verification and validation practices in automotive by applying standards safety considerations and best practices that align with company purpose and societal impact related to safe mobility.
• Coordinate with global stakeholders as needed by leveraging strong English reading writing and speaking skills to clarify test findings and align on resolution plans across locations.
• Prepare accurate status reports and test metrics that highlight progress risks and quality trends enabling transparent decision making for project management and customer communication.
• Participate in continuous learning and tool evaluation initiatives to adopt new methods and technologies that strengthen test coverage and support innovation in automotive systems.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate solid hands on experience of at least three years and up to seven years in test analysis and execution roles with direct exposure to automotive verification and validation projects.
• Show advanced proficiency in using vTestStudio for test design and automation including configuration of test environments and management of test assets for complex automotive systems.
• Apply strong scripting capabilities in Python Bash and CAPL to build scalable test harnesses data generators and automation utilities that improve reliability and speed of testing.
• Exhibit practical understanding of automotive domain concepts including electronic control units communication buses and safety relevant functions to design meaningful test scenarios.
• Use clear and professional English communication skills in reading writing and speaking to document test artifacts and collaborate effectively with international teams.
• Demonstrate familiarity with test framework development principles such as modular design version control and integration with continuous integration pipelines as a valuable asset.
• Show capability to work from office in a day shift model and readiness to travel when required to support onsite test campaigns customer workshops or lab integration activities.
