Cognizant in Mexico City is seeking a Test Analyst to contribute to automotive verification and validation. The role involves designing robust test frameworks using vTestStudio, Python Bash CAPL, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an office-based day shift role with occasional travel.

You will develop automated scripts, write comprehensive test cases, and prepare clear reports and evidence for audits. Travel to client sites for test campaigns may be required.

Formación

• 3–7 years of experience as a test analyst or similar role in automotive verification and validation.
• Hands-on proficiency in vTestStudio for authoring test specifications and result analysis.
• Advanced Python scripting for automation utilities complex test flows and reporting.
• Bash scripting to manage test execution across platforms and CI pipelines.
• CAPL scripting to configure bus simulations and vehicle network testing.
• Understanding of verification and validation processes including traceability and defect lifecycle.
• Willingness to work in a day-shift office-based role with travel.

Responsabilidades

• Design comprehensive test strategies and test cases using vTestStudio for automotive functions.
• Develop automated Python scripts to run verification scenarios and improve regression coverage.
• Create Bash scripts to orchestrate test environments and data management.
• Author CAPL scripts to simulate bus communication and test embedded control units.
• Build reusable test frameworks that integrate vTestStudio with Python, Bash and CAPL.
• Execute auto verification cycles, capture logs, monitor results, and document findings.
• Analyze defects and trends to identify root causes and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and safety teams in an office setting.
• Prepare traceability docs and evidence packs for audits and standards compliance.
• Coordinate on-site or lab tests when travel is required.
• Support day shift operations by monitoring queues and maintaining tools.
• Mentor peers on best practices and promote standardized testing approaches.
• Align test objectives with company goals for safe and sustainable mobility.
