Sandvik Mining Construction Mexico seeks a Lighting Design Release Engineer (Lighting DRE) to lead the release of automotive lighting components for powertrain and construction equipment. The role involves close collaboration with styling and Tier-I suppliers to ensure feasible designs and manufacturability in CATIA V6.

The successful candidate has a background in mechanical engineering with substantial experience in lighting design, including exterior lighting systems, lamps, and light panels.

Formación

• Good experience as a Lighting DRE (min 3 years).
• Knowledge of automotive exterior lighting systems with key components.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with extensive lighting design experience (10+ years) across interior and exterior.

Responsabilidades

• Release lighting components, sub-systems and detail designs.
• Collaborate with Tier-I suppliers to optimize cost, mass, joining methods, molding and testing performance.
• Interpret simulation results and translate findings into product design improvements.
• Work with Styling team to verify feasibility and define surface craftsmanship targets.
• Model lighting components in CATIA V6 and assess manufacturing feasibility.
