Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA seeks an experienced Design Release Engineer (DRE) – Body Vision & Lighting to join its engineering team. You will own end-to-end design, release, integration, and validation of exterior and interior lighting systems, mirrors, and camera/vision integrations.

The role involves remote work with hands-on plant support and travel to Saltillo, Toluca, and Mexico City during critical project phases, tooling trials, pilot builds, and launch support.

Formación

• Design release for automotive lighting and vision components.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6 and Siemens NX; experience in Teamcenter/Enovia.
• Knowledge of DVP&Rs, DFMEAs and automotive regulations (FMVSS/ECE).

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end design release for Body Vision & Lighting components.
• Oversee CAD, packaging, and integration in Teamcenter/Enovia environments.
• Develop and implement DVP&Rs and DFMEAs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Direct Tier-1 suppliers on tooling readiness, photometrics, quality metrics, PPAP approvals.
• Provide on-site plant and launch support, including root-cause analysis.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Release Engineer (DRE) – Body Vision & Lighting to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, release, integration, and validation of automotive exterior and interior lighting systems, mirrors, and camera/vision integration.

While this position is primarily remote, active hands‑on plant support is essential. You will travel to assembly facilities and supplier sites across Saltillo, Toluca, and Mexico City during critical project phases, tooling trials, pilot builds, and launch support.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Design & Release: Lead the lifecycle development (pre-concept to SOP) for Body Vision & Lighting components, including headlamps, rear combination lamps, interior ambient lighting, exterior mirrors, and vision camera integrations.

• CAD & Packaging: Oversee component packaging studies, clearance checks, and mechanical integration using CATIA V5/V6 or Siemens NX within Teamcenter/Enovia environments.

• Validation & Compliance: Develop and execute DVP&Rs (Design Verification Plan & Report); write DFMEAs; ensure full compliance with FMVSS, ECE, and internal OEM regulations.

• Supplier Management: Direct Tier-1 suppliers on tooling readiness, photometrics performance, quality metrics, and PPAP approvals.

• On-Site Plant & Launch Support: Travel to plants in Saltillo, Toluca, and Mexico City to support prototype/pilot builds, address build issues, resolve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and conduct root cause analysis (8D / 5-Why).

• Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with studio styling, body engineering, electrical integration, and plant quality teams to safeguard design intent and vehicle quality.
