Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Maintenance and Automation Engineer to oversee trained unionized personnel in hydraulic, mechanical, robotic, electrical and digital control systems in our Saltillo, Mexico facility. You will audit maintenance processes, standardize PLC/HMI configurations, and lead projects to improve equipment uptime while ensuring safe and efficient production.

Qualifications

Screens and HMI design at FTV and Ignition.
Design Automation Networks (Indispensable Dnet and ENet).
Advanced Logix Controllers PLC Programming.
Advanced ABB/Kuka/Fanuc/Durr Robot Programming
English level: B2
Spanish level: C2
Soft Skills: Application of information technologies Analysis and problem solving. Effective communication. Planning and organization. Project management. Decision making.
Academic Knowledge: Engineering; Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial or related field

Responsibilities

Analyze the design of current equipment and recommend changes to installed technology to avoid critical or repetitive breakdowns and improve reliability.
Standardize maintenance procedures and keep work instructions up to date.
Develop the strategy to maximize production equipment uptime.
Develop solutions for problematic assets and perform ABB/Kuka/Fanuc/Durr robot programming.
Prepare technical documentation and train personnel including diagrams, manuals and work instructions.
Lead automation upgrade projects and plan obsolescence/migration to new technologies.
