Job summary

Amazon Mexico's Reliability Maintenance Engineering team seeks an Automation Engineer to fault find, troubleshoot, and improve controls for automated material handling equipment across our Mexico network. You will be a hands-on SME for site controls and sensors, ensuring high equipment availability for internal customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC controlled automation and fault diagnosis.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• Experience in engineering and estimating material handling and storage systems.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Be the site level SME for all controls systems and sensors within the building. Work hands-on to monitor, fault find and repair systems to ensure high equipment availability.
• Train technicians in control systems fault finding to raise site knowledge.
• Collaborate with Global Controls network to monitor MHE metrics and provide visualization to internal customers.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects coordinated by the Global Controls network.
• Work with Global Controls Engineering and Operations Engineering to document systems and maintain backup libraries.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment with global teams.
• Assist other sites in the Mexico network as required.
