Job summary

CIMMYT invites an accomplished systems development and scaling leader to guide the SAS portfolio from its Latin America office. You will shape strategy, drive adoption of innovations, and build collaborations with national research systems, private sector, and international partners.

The role requires 10+ years of leadership, funding experience, and a track record delivering impact across countries. You will mentor teams, oversee budgets, and ensure timely, evidence-based results that advance

Qualifications

PhD (or master's with exceptional experience) in agricultural or development economics or related field.
At least 10 years of leadership in agricultural development or scaling in international contexts.
Proven cross-country, cross-sector leadership across teams.
Experience securing funding from public, development, and private finance.
Experience with delivering results in public, private, or civil-society delivery systems.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the System Development strategy aligned with CIMMYT objectives.
Lead multi-country, transdisciplinary teams and manage budgets.
Foster partnerships with national systems, universities, and donors.
Encourage inclusion, safeguards, and accountability in projects.
Interface with Discovery Research and support SAS Director planning.
