An international research organization is seeking a Grants Management Analyst to execute fundraising operational plans and implement strategies for resource mobilization. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in grant management and project coordination, and should be proficient in English. This full-time role offers competitive compensation and benefits, including bonuses and medical insurance.

Formación

Overview

CIMMYT is a cutting-edge, non-profit, international organization dedicated to solving tomorrow’s problems today. This role will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, State of Mexico, near Mexico City.

Responsibilities
  • Execute Grants Management operational plans to maintain annual fundraising levels at USD 250 million through 2027.
  • Implement strategies to achieve Engagement Chapter KPIs related to resource mobilization.
  • Deliver on individual work plans as well as multi-year plans within the DFS team.
  • Ensure consistent application of institutional grant management policies and procedures.
  • Identify and map key risks across the DFS area, contributing to effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support the prospecting process for new funding opportunities within existing multi-partner agreements.
  • Support cultivation and stewardship efforts aimed at strengthening multi-partner collaborations.
  • Foster strong relationships with all units and internal stakeholders to ensure effective coordination throughout the grant‑project cycle, including monthly reconciliation meetings.
  • Manage grant‑related information, records, documentation, and archiving in a timely and accurate manner: produce monthly pipeline and aging reports, manage Unit email account, and manage Funder Platforms to ensure timely and accurate data entry and compliance.
  • Improve the functioning of the department: develop templates, update and disseminate the DFS Grant management Manual, and build capacity on DFS processes within the unit and other units internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate grant management steps along the project cycle in collaboration with involved units internal and external clients: provide feedback to comply with funder requirements, ensure Financial and Technical Reporting delivery and assurance quality standards, serve as the main coordination point and front desk with auditors for grant‑related audits, and ensure that Research Programs generate and provide all required documentation.
  • Coordinate with Program teams to ensure timely follow‑up, collection, and submission of all required documentation under CIMMYT’s Project Management Minimums. Track the submission status of PM Minimums documentation, review for completeness, and update the centralized PM Minimums tracker.
  • Implement individual annual plan to ensure objectives and targets are accomplished and follow all policies and procedures related to performance evaluation and internal assessments.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant management, donor‑funded project coordination, financial and technical reporting, or working with international non‑profit or research organizations.
  • Advanced level of English language, minimum of C1 as per CEFR.
  • Good knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a Project Management discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook) and ERP Systems.
  • Competencies: Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Communication, Customer Orientation, Teamwork, Problem Solving and Decision‑making, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.
