Job summary

Danfoss in Reynosa is seeking an Associate Analyst, Trade Compliance to govern import and export processes, ensuring full compliance with Mexican and U.S. customs regulations.

You will collaborate with brokers, carriers, and internal teams to maintain compliant cross-border operations and data integrity in SAP. The role requires a degree in International Trade or related field, plus internship or early career experience in trade operations, with strong English/Spanish skills and a focus on

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Professional internship or early career experience in Import/Export operations, customs compliance, and international trade processes.
  • Knowledge of Mexican and U.S. customs regulations, tariff and non-tariff requirements, customs documentation, and international trade agreements applicable to Mexico.
  • Understanding of Annex 24 inventory controls, IMMEX, PROSEC, Rule 8, VUCEM/VUTCE procedures, and certified company programs such as C-TPAT.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and customs compliance/inventory control systems, with the ability to maintain accurate trade and customs data.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong customer orientation, collaboration skills, and the ability to support cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure import and export operations are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies in Mexico and the United States.
  • Review, maintain, and validate trade documentation and customs records.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and government agencies to ensure timely customs clearance and uninterrupted material flow.
  • Support tariff classification and import/export permit management.
  • Generate, maintain, and analyze trade compliance data and reports in SAP and other systems.
  • Support customs audits, inspections, and compliance reviews with required information.
  • Identify compliance risks and implement process improvements with cross-functional teams.

The Impact You'll Make

Ensure the effective governance, control, and continuous improvement of import and export processes, procedures, and data, ensuring full compliance with applicable customs regulations in Mexico and the United States.
Collaborate closely with the team, customs brokers, carriers, and technology service providers to secure efficient, compliant, and uninterrupted cross-border operations while supporting business objectives and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Ensure import and export operations are executed in compliance with applicable customs regulations, trade requirements, and company policies in Mexico and the United States.
  • Review, maintain, and validate trade documentation and customs records, including Annex 24 inventory controls, to support compliant and efficient cross-border operations.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, transportation providers, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely customs clearance and uninterrupted material flow.
  • Support tariff classification, import/export permit management, and compliance with tariff and non-tariff regulations applicable to international trade operations.
  • Generate, maintain, and analyze trade compliance data, reports, metrics, and records within SAP and other customs compliance systems to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Support customs audits, government inspections, and compliance reviews by preparing, analyzing, and providing required information and documentation.
  • Identify compliance risks and process improvement opportunities, implementing corrective actions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance trade compliance, operational efficiency, and customer service.
What We're Looking For
