Job summary

Johnson Controls in Monterrey seeks an experienced Industrial/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineer to lead manufacturing optimization initiatives. You will design cells, balance lines, and improve layouts while ensuring safety and adherence to standards across production floors.

The role requires 3+ years in assembly/paint processes, strong project management and change-management skills, and proficiency in English. HVAC exposure and Six Sigma credentials are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in assembly and paint processes
• Spoken and written English
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement, line balancing, capacity calculations, planning and layout
• Project management experience
• Change management and cost-reduction program experience
• Strong communication and prioritization skills
• Creative problem solving and original thinking
• HVAC industry experience preferred
• Project Management Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment through accident prevention culture and rule adherence
• Lead by example and design manufacturing cells
• Calculate and control optimal capacities of production lines and fabrication processes
• Verify time standards and hours per family product calculations
• Develop technical documentation (standard work sheets, OMS, ODS, FMEA, DFAM)
• Support internal benchmarking and optimize layouts of production lines and cells
• Lead and update databases showing optimal routes, production times, and headcount requirements
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and reduce high-risk PFMEA items
• Support New Product Introduction from planning to full production
• Coach, mentor, and train Manufacturing Technicians
