Job summary

Avnet is seeking an entry-level assembler to assemble and install electronic components per customer build instructions in our facility in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico. You will unpack, label, and prepare sub-assemblies, then follow detailed ISO-compliant procedures to complete assemblies and document steps.

Typical duties include simple assembly of sub-assemblies, maintaining electronic and paper records, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Acquires basic skills through work experience or formal training to perform routine tasks.
• Tasks are routine, repetitive and manual in nature with minimal complexity or variation and specific to the job.
• Work is performed under supervision with detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks, performs serial number capture, labeling, repack and other manufacturing preparation and finishing duties.
• Performs simple assembly of various sub-assemblies.
• Follows detailed build instructions, best practices and ISO procedures.
• Documents actions by completing production electronic stamp offs.
• Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
• Updates and maintains electronic and hard copy records and/or files as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembles and installs a variety of electronic components per customer requirements as defined in build instructions.

Principal Responsibilities

• Unpacks (post inbound de-trash), performs serial number capture, labeling, repack and other manufacturing preparation and finishing duties as required.
• Performs simple assembly of various sub-assemblies.
• Follows detailed build instructions, best practices and ISO procedures.
• Documents actions by completing production electronic stamp offs.
• Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
• Updates and maintains electronic and hard copy records and/or files as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
