Placements24 is seeking an Ingeniero de Voz sobre IP (VoIP) y Comunicaciones Unificadas for a fully remote role in Mexico. You will design, implement, and support VoIP/UC infrastructure, ensuring reliable communication for employees. Strong SIP/H.323/RTP knowledge and UC platform experience are required.

The role emphasizes configuring SBCs, IP phones, and gateways, plus collaborating with network teams to optimize voice traffic. Certifications such as CCNA Voice or CCNP Collaboration are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with VoIP and Unified Communications systems.
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols SIP, H.323, RTP, RTCP.
• Experience with major UC platforms (Cisco UC, Microsoft Teams Voice, Avaya).
• Strong IP networking knowledge: QoS, VLANs, routing; SBC experience desirable.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA Voice, CCNP Collaboration, Microsoft Teams Voice) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage VoIP and UC systems and platforms.
• Configure and maintain telephony hardware and software (IP phones, gateways, SBCs).
• Troubleshoot voice quality issues, routing problems, and outages.
• Monitor performance and availability of VoIP/UC services.
• Develop documentation for configurations and procedures.
