Amazon is looking for high-potential leaders to own their impact as an Area Manager in a fulfillment center. You will lead a team of Amazon Associates, mentor and coach them, and ensure safety and customer-focused performance across shifts.

You will drive Lean process improvements, engage in 24/7 operations, and adapt to a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Formación

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business preferred.
  • Fluent in English or able to take direction in English.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and develop a team of 30-80 hourly associates implementing Amazon Leadership Principles.
  • Oversee shift operations to ensure safety, quality, attendance and engagement.
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members for peak performance.

As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a sort center environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained are core functions of the role. Job Requirements
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • The position is NOT a remote role and will be located in a Fulfillment Center
Key job responsibilities
  • You and your team of warehouse associates are responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders. You are responsible for ensuring that you have properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs
  • You take ownership in your work and team and are available to work overtime during Amazon’s peak holiday season and as needed year-round. You are obsessed with customer experience and understand the importance of a 24/7 operations. You are flexible to work on any type of assigned shift (nights, weekends, etc.)
  • Leading and developing a team of 30-80 hourly associates by embodying Amazon’s Leadership Principles
  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customers

Basic Qualifications
  • Work a rotating, flexible schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays. Able to work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
  • 1+ years of distribution or manufacturing field with equivalent mechanical or electrical field experience
  • Experience supporting hourly workforces of 50+ employees and leading teams
  • Experience developing or delivering training programs across multiple sites or regions, or experience with technical writing
