Signify is seeking an R&D Approbation Engineer in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon to develop and validate engineering solutions that meet regulatory and quality standards. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure product lifecycle compliance and certifications with UL/ETL/DLC/Energy Star and similar bodies.

The role requires a Engineering degree with a strong focus on product safety and regulatory standards, plus experience in testing, risk assessment, and ISO 9001-related quality systems.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering with focus on product safety and regulatory standards.
• Experience in product testing, regulatory compliance and risk assessment in R&D.
• Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) or regulatory affairs.
• Experience with certification bodies such as UL/ETL/DLC/Energy Star.
• Experience in New Product Development launch processes.
• Excellent English communication skills.

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as an R&D Approbation Engineer in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon with Signify.

Develops and validates engineering solutions to meet regulatory and quality standards. Coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

What you’ll do

• Designs and implements testing protocols to verify product safety and efficacy.
• Collaborates with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.
• Analyzes technical documentation to ensure alignment with industry standards. Provides technical support during audits and inspections.
• Monitors ongoing compliance and recommends improvements as needed.
• Leads risk assessments and mitigation planning for engineering projects. Prepares detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsible for any New and existing product certification compliance to Certification entities as UL/ETL/DLC/Energy star/etc

More about you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline with a specialized focus on product safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards.
• Experience in product testing, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment within a research and development environment, demonstrating ability to manage and evaluate product approval processes effectively.
• Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) or regulatory affairs certification relevant to product approval processes.
• Desired experience with certification entities such as UL/ETL/DLC/Energy star
• Experience on New Product Development Launches processes
• Excellent communication in English is a must
