Job summary

North American Stamping Group (NASG) seeks an Apprentice Press Packer to learn safe operation of stamping presses, gain skills in safety, quality assurance, and efficient production. The role emphasizes hands-on training, structured classroom instruction, and mentorship under experienced operators, with potential advancement to a full-time Press Operator.

You will participate in a 1-year apprenticeship with 2,000 OJL hours and at least 144 hours of related instruction, working daily within NASG

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or plan to obtain within 2 years.
• Basic computer skills (email, login, run application).
• Demonstrated basic math skills; reading and comprehension; mechanical aptitude.
• No prior manufacturing experience required; interest in developing hands-on technical skills.
• Apprenticeship term is 1 year with 2,000 hours OJL plus 144 hours related instruction; NASG daily training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating stamping presses under direct supervision.
• Support changeovers, adjustments, and production startups; learn to set up auxiliary equipment.
• Observe and assist in maintaining process parameters as per die setup sheet.
• Participate in quality inspections and report results; follow non-conforming material procedures.
• Report quality, production, or safety concerns to team leader.
• Engage in basic equipment care and routine maintenance; follow 5-S standards.
