APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Walter Tools SA de CV Leading manufacturer of precision tools for metal machining is looking for. The position of Applications Engineer is appointed by and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. This position, working with Zone Managers / Sales supervisors, is responsible for the successful development and growth of the market according to the corporate strategy. This position will act as lead person in the applications function. In that capacity, this position will conduct testing of core products, develop process, documentation of testing and follow-up of testing opportunities.

Essential Functions

• A. Develop and promote a corporate Strategy to pursue application market and monitor the implementation of the results through the regions
• B. Transfer the Marketing Strategy for the region
• C. Work closely with the Sales Manager / Sales Supervisors by assisting with:
  • Establishing Priorities
  • Defining Objectives
  • Measuring results
  • Providing monthly reports detailing recent results and upcoming opportunities
• D. Report to management and achieve results by:
  • Recognizing and assessing Market trends
  • Identify potential target accounts
  • Suggest Standard product additions
  • Participate in Workshops and meetings as required
  • Cooperate with Specials department when required

Other Responsibilities

• A. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Engineering Manager
• B. Prepare reports and presentations regarding the progress of projects.
• C. Define process and best practices
• D. Develop opportunities and pursue results
