LEAR CORPORATION in Mexico is seeking an IT Application Development & Deployment Specialist to lead implementations of floor shop control systems across North America. This role requires strong technical expertise and management of IT application development.

The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of relevant experience, a BS/BA degree, and preferably manufacturing experience with ERP systems. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are an advantage. Join us to support critical IT functions in a dynamic environment.

Formación

About the role

We are seeking an IT Application development and deployment Specialist to lead and ensure the success of Floor shop control system implementations across North America. In this role, you will manage broad functional areas with limited supervision, combining advanced technical expertise with strategic policy evaluation. You will also provide second‑level support and act as a critical liaison between plant IT and corporate IT teams.

Key responsibilities

A Manager (M3) manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Policy and strategy implementation for short‑term results (1 year or less)
• Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex
• Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures

Education and experience required

• Degree: BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: 6+ years of relevant IT deployment or management experience.
• Industry: Manufacturing experience with ERP/MRP systems (Automotive industry preferred).

Technical skills

• IBM iSeries: Moderate IBM iSeries (AS/400) operations and programming experience.
• Architecture: Strong understanding of program architecture, specifically IBM RPG IV and CL.
• Pluses: Prior familiarity with EDI systems is a distinct advantage.
• Bilingual Spanish‑English (B1 or above)
