IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Performance Benchmarking Analyst to ensure accurate hotel and market data and to support benchmarking initiatives across the organization.
You will design data models, validate data, and help teams use insights on RGI, competitive sets, and external data products, collaborating with Technology, Commercial and Finance to modernise processes with automation and AI.
As Performance Benchmarking Analyst, you will play an important role in ensuring that IHG has accurate, reliable and accessible data to understand hotel and market performance. You will support the Director, Performance Benchmarking in managing relationships with external data providers and will coordinate the regular exchange, validation and reconciliation of data with these partners.
You will process and check industry benchmarking, pipeline and rooms data, investigate differences between data sources and help maintain consistency across IHG’s databases. Drawing on your understanding of data structures and analytical tools, you will also help design reliable data models that make information easier for colleagues to access, interpret and use.
A key part of the role will be supporting hotel and corporate teams with benchmarking data and digital products. This will include responding to queries, providing guidance on areas such as RGI and competitive-set composition, developing documentation and best practice, and helping colleagues use data with confidence. You will work with teams across Technology, Commercial, Operations, Revenue Management, Finance, Development and Competitor Intelligence.
This is also an opportunity to help shape the future of IHG’s performance benchmarking processes. You will contribute to the review of external data products and help modernise existing ways of working by applying automation and AI.
The successful candidate will bring at least three years’ experience working with finance data systems, an understanding of structuring and processing large datasets, and be confident in dashboarding and using data-query tools. Previous hotel-industry experience is not critical but would be an advantage.
