Job summary

Flex is seeking an Analyst, Linux Systems to support our Linux server infrastructure in Guadalajara North Campus. You will monitor, maintain, and optimize systems to ensure high availability and performance.

The role involves scripting, automation, incident resolution, and collaboration with global IT teams on infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu, networking, and security practices is expected, with 1–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
• Experience administering Linux servers in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/Oracle Linux.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
• Experience with automation/configuration tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Intermediate to Advanced English level.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Linux operating systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with global IT teams on infrastructure projects, system migrations, and technology implementations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, system configurations, and operational guidelines.
• Participate in troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and incident resolution to ensure business continuity.

What a typical day looks like

• Knowledge of Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu, or Oracle Linux.
• Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively within a global team environment.

Experience we're looking to add to our team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Linux Administrator, Linux Analyst, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
• Experience managing Linux servers in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of VMware, Hyper‑V, or cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with security best practices, patch management, and access control.
• Intermediate to Advanced English level.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
