Inmar Intelligence is seeking an experienced IBM AIX Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize AIX-based infrastructure in a mission-critical enterprise environment. The role is office-based in Mexico and requires professional fluency in English.

You will manage PowerVM/VIOS, implement PowerHA, and handle SAN storage integration, BRMS/TSM backups, and security patching while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance of enterprise

Formación

• Strong experience with IBM Power Systems hardware and virtualization (PowerVM, VIOS).
• Experience with PowerHA.
• Experience with enterprise storage technologies (SAN, IBM Storwize, etc.).
• 5+ years of hands-on IBM AIX system administration.

Responsabilidades

• Perform system installations, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
• Manage logical partitions (LPARs) using PowerVM/VIOS.
• Implement and support high availability solutions (PowerHA / HACMP).
• Manage storage integration (SAN, NPIV, MPIO) and backup solutions.
• Proficiency in AIX internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer, configure, and maintain IBM AIX operating systems on IBM Power Systems.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure system security compliance, including patch management and auditing.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting (ksh/bash).
• Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to support enterprise platforms.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and incident resolution.
• Manage ServiceNow ticket queue.
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support.
