Collins Aerospace in Mexicali seeks a Structural Engineer to perform stress and fatigue analyses on aerospace components, using both hand calculations and computer methods. The role supports metallic and composite designs, working with international teams and documenting results in MS Office.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and experience with FEA tools like NASTRAN/PATRAN, with strong English communication and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, or similar software applications.
• Experience with load paths and airframe design using metals and composites.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Conduct stress and fatigue structural analysis of aerospace components.
• Perform structural analysis using both conventional hand calc and computer-based analysis methods.
• Develop and document structural activities to assess the integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
• Work to defined design parameters to assess the integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace component parts.
• Provide solutions to technical problems within assigned scope and complexity.
• Use, create and validate Continuous Improvement tools to solve problems.
• Communicate problems, issues, and opportunities to peers and supervision.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders across international locations.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
