Job summary

Latecoere México seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize CNC milling, turning, and multi-axis processes for aerospace components, ensuring compliance with AS9100, GD&T, and PFMEA standards.

You will collaborate with CNC programmers, production, quality, tooling, and maintenance to deliver safe, capable, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing plans, supported by thorough documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with three-, four-, or five-axis machining and mill-turn.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, GD&T, PFMEA and process capability.
• Proficient in Excel and advanced English.
• Leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for CNC milling, turning, mill-turn, and multi-axis machining operations.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers to optimize machining strategies.
• Review CNC programs, tool lists, setup docs, and simulations as required.
• Establish cutting parameters based on material, tools, workholding rigidity, and machine capability.
• Report issues to leadership and propose solutions.
• Troubleshoot dimensional variation, chatter, tool wear, and surface finish.
• Support machine setups, prove-outs, and process validation on production floor.
• Evaluate tools, fixtures, probes, and machining technologies for implementation.
• Develop manufacturing processes for new and existing aerospace components.
• Maintain manufacturing plans, routers, work instructions, and setup sheets.
• Define operation sequences, machine selection, workholding methods, cutting tools, inspection points.
• Ensure drawing notes, customer requirements, and key characteristics are in the manufacturing plan.
• Review engineering drawings, models, specifications, requirements to determine manufacturing feasibility.
