Job summary

Safran in Mexico seeks a hands-on CNC Engineer to lead CNC programming, manufacturing methodologies and process improvement on the shop floor. You’ll drive efficiency, quality and adoption of advanced machining technologies across 4- and 5-axis operations.

Responsibilities include developing complex CNC programs, interpreting GD&T drawings, analyzing CMM results and optimizing cycle times. You’ll train operators, troubleshoot issues and lead root-cause actions with a Lean, safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in CNC programming and machining.
• Expertise in G-code and multiple CAM systems, plus CNC controls.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate and optimize complex CNC programs for 4- and 5-axis machining.
• Ensure processes meet drawing, specification, quality and customer requirements.
• Interpret drawings with GD&T and analyze CMM results.
• Optimize cycle time, labor time, tooling and processes to boost productivity.
• Support setups, trials and development projects with clear documentation.
• Train CNC programmers and machine operators.
• Troubleshoot issues and lead root cause corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in CNC programming and processes.
• Evaluate new machining technologies to improve quality and efficiency.
• Support CAPEX projects and supplier management.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality to deliver solutions.
• Promote Lean, safety and continuous improvement across manufacturing.
