Collins Aerospace in Mexicali, Mexico, is seeking a Structural Engineer to perform stress and fatigue analysis of aerospace components using hand calculations and FEA tools. You will work with metallic and composite parts, documenting analyses and aligning with design parameters, while collaborating with international teams and communicating in English.

Role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least two years of experience and knowledge of NASTRAN or PATRAN, plus

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, or similar software applications.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct stress and fatigue structural analysis of aerospace components.
• Perform structural analysis using both conventional hand calc and computer-based analysis methods.
• Develop and document structural activities to assess the integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
• Work to defined design parameters to assess the integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace component parts.
• Provide solutions to technical problems within assigned scope and complexity.
• Use, create and validate Continuous Improvement tools to solve problems.
• Communicate problems, issues, and opportunities to peers and supervision.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders across international locations.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
