The LEGO Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join the established BSO support department, focusing on the Americas while providing global support. You will handle Procure to Pay processes and collaborate with stakeholders across the LEGO Group.

Responsibilities include processing payments, reconciling AP ledgers, and supporting audits, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration in a dynamic, multinational environment.

• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Proven working experience in Accounts Payable.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and AP principles.
• Experience with Procure to Pay functions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking.

• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data.

• Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending reminders and contacting vendors.
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Assist with month-end closing.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

The Accountant contributes to the overall success of the BSO and LEGO strategies by delivering high-quality execution and a great service experience, supporting the Procure to Pay processes aligned with LEGO procedures and policies.

Core Responsibilities

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting vendors.
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Assist with month-end closing.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

Do you have what it takes?

• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Preferred degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Affairs or a related field.
• Experience in Procure to Pay functions.
• Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Accountant.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• SAP knowledge preferred, or experience with another ERP system.
• Experience working in highly collaborative environments.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking skills.
