Job summary

LHH in Mexico City is seeking an Accounting & Tax Manager to lead accounting, financial reporting, and tax for the country, ensuring IFRS and Mexican GAAP compliance while partnering with senior leadership.

You will oversee closings, manage statutory audits with external auditors, ensure tax compliance with ISR and VAT, and drive improvements across internal controls and governance, in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting and tax roles, preferably multinational in Mexico.
• Experience in Big Four environment.
• Advanced English level.
• Proven track record managing statutory audits and tax authorities (SAT).
• Experience in leasing, financial services, or asset-intensive industries is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings under IFRS and Mexican GAAP; manage Group consolidation reporting; supervise general ledger and reconciliations; lead statutory audits with external auditors.
• Ensure full tax compliance with Mexican regulations (ISR, VAT, withholding taxes); lead tax planning and audits with SAT; monitor regulatory changes.
• Maintain and strengthen internal control framework (SOX); minimize financial, tax, and compliance risks; support audits and remediation plans.
• Provide financial and tax insights to support pricing, structuring, and new products; support fleet financing and leasing structures; collaborate with Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and Operations; participate in strategic projects including M&A and system transformation.
