Nexos TRC is seeking a Financial Controller focused on finance and accounting for a large-scale manufacturing operation in Torreón, Coahuila. You will lead month-end close, financial reporting, and regulatory filings, ensuring integrity of the financial system.

Responsibilities include budget leadership, variance analysis, and coordinating tax and audit activities, while mentoring the accounting team and driving process improvements.

Formación

• +10 years in accounting/audit with at least 5 years as Controller/Manager in large multinational manufacturing.
• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Review and approve reconciliations and journal entries, guiding technical accounting work.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, footnotes, and schedules for corporate.
• Perform P&L and balance sheet reviews to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Conduct variance analysis on costs and provide actionable insights.
• Lead annual budget process and analyze actuals versus budget.
• Present month-end results to CFO and leadership with recommendations.
• Oversee Travel & Expense accounting processes and systems.
• Coordinate internal and external tax and audit requests and support.

We are searching for a passionate Financial Controller focused on F&A to lead Finance & Accounting for a large-scale manufacturing operation located in Torreón, Coahuila.

Position Overview

This role is about understanding the business deeply, challenging how things are done, and driving real operational improvement through finance. This position manages month-end closing, analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, overseeing tax and other regulatory filings and maintaining the integrity of the company’s overall financial system.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review and approve account reconciliations & journal entries, guiding the team on technical account aspects of entries/reconciliations.
• Work with the accounting team prepare monthly financial statement packages, footnotes, and schedules to corporate.
• Complete P&L and Balance Sheet reviews to ensure data integrity across various systems.
• Perform variance analysis on material, labor and overhead cost and provide insights and recommendations.
• Lead the annual budget process and subsequent analysis on actual and variances.
• Present month end results and provide recommendations to CFO and top leadership.
• Manage Travel & Expense accounting processes and system.
• Oversee and support all internal and external tax and audit requests.
• Work with Corporate and intercompany teams on special projects and ad-rock requests.
• Support cross functional projects and collaborate with the other departments on special assignments.
• Work with department heads to control and forecast department expenses.
• Manage and support guidance for Capital Acquisition Request and analysis. Partner with other business unit departments on ad-hoc projects to estimate ROI cost effectiveness of key decisions,
• Establishes methodology to monitor and continuously improve performance of systems / processes.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• +10 years of experience in accounting/audit role with at least 5 years as Controller/ Manager in large-scale multinational manufacturing companies
• Accounting Degree or similar.
• Project management skills, organized, with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; including the ability to remain flexible when encountering tight time schedules
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to research, analyze, and reconcile
• Oracle ERP experience preferred, Big 4 experience is an advantage
• Interpersonal Skills and Personnel Management
• Responsible, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Advanced English (ability to communicate in English with people from other countries).
