MStar Innovation in Mexico City is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and manage a team of 3–5 Analysts, owning the monthly close, controls, and financial reporting.

You will partner with Tax, Treasury, Operations, Legal, Technology and Finance leadership to drive process improvements, automation, and AI-enabled finance, ensuring compliance with Mexican NIF and regulatory requirements while building a scalable, technology-enabled function.

Formación

• 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2–3+ years leading teams.
• Experience leading monthly close and financial reporting.
• Experience in financial services, FinTech, SOFOM, banking, or another regulated financial institution.
• Big Four or second-tier audit firm experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican NIF; IFRS is a plus.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; Power BI a plus.
• Experience with Oracle, Contpaq, or equivalent ERP systems.
• Upper-intermediate English required; Advanced preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end accounting cycle including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Own monthly close and timely financial reporting.
• Review statements, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican NIF and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee loan portfolio accounting and related processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
