GDL CONNECT is seeking an entry-level Accounting professional in Guadalajara, Mexico. This role involves supporting mortgage finance operations by handling daily transactions, reconciliations, and reports. Ideal candidates should possess or be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a solid understanding of accounting principles. The position offers a salary ranging from $23k to $24k gross, along with various benefits including medical insurance and bonuses for punctuality and excellence.

Formación

About the role

This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career while gaining hands-on experience in mortgage finance operations. This role will assist with daily financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and supporting month-end close activities specific to mortgage lending.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and classify financial transactions related to mortgage operations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor escrow and trust accounts.
• Support the processing of payments to vendors, investors, and third parties.
• Help maintain accurate general ledger accounts and subledgers.
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Track and reconcile loan funding, payoffs, and servicing entries.
• Collaborate with the loan processing, post-closing, and servicing departments for financial data accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (completed or in progress).
• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred, ideally in the mortgage, banking, or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or mortgage-specific platforms).
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to learn mortgage industry regulations and financial workflows.
