Mars UK in Querétaro, Mexico, is seeking a Finance professional to join the Fixed Assets and Intercompany accounting team. You will collaborate across multiple entities to maintain strong financial controls and accurate asset and intercompany records.

Ideal candidates have a accounting/finance degree, at least 2 years in financial accounting, solid Excel skills, and good English communication. The role offers development opportunities within a global, purpose-driven company.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and period-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and Pivot Tables.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Business Units and Finance stakeholders to manage Fixed Assets and Intercompany accounting transactions across a multi-entity environment.
• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations for Fixed Assets and Intercompany balances to support financial statements.
• Investigate variances, monitor open items, and coordinate with counterparties to resolve accounting differences.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and enhance Fixed Assets and Intercompany processes.

Job Description:

In this position, you will be part of the Finance team, playing a fundamental role in supporting our Fixed Assets and Intercompany accounting activities. You will operate in a collaborative, multi-entity environment, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and contributing to a strong control framework, with the autonomy to drive process improvements and grow with our business.

What are we looking for?

Essential Requirements (What is indispensable to start):

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and period-end close processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and Pivot Tables.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desirable Requirements (These will be considered differentiators, but you can learn with us):

• Experience specifically with Fixed Assets and/or Intercompany accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Previous experience in a Record-to-Report or Shared Services environment.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities and/or currencies.

• Collaborate actively with Business Units and Finance stakeholders to manage Fixed Assets and Intercompany accounting transactions across a multi-entity environment.
• Support the integrity of our financial statements by preparing and analyzing account reconciliations for both Fixed Assets and Intercompany balances.
• Drive the resolution of accounting differences by investigating variances, monitoring open items, and coordinating with counterparties.
• Contribute to our continuous improvement culture by identifying opportunities to standardize and enhance Fixed Assets and Intercompany processes.
