Metso seeks a General Ledger Accountant to join the Finance Mexico Team in Irapuato, Mexico. You will carry out finance activities within the Metso Finance team in Irapuato and report to the Mexico Finance Head.

Role requires 2+ years in general ledger accounting, solid knowledge of accounting principles, and strong analytical and communication skills. Fluency in English is essential; SAP/ERP experience is a plus.

Formación

• 2+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, financial closing, and reconciliations.
• Advanced written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Process and monitor miscellaneous accounting transactions, ensuring accurate entries and proper supporting documentation.
• Perform verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Participate in month-end close activities and assigned accounting tasks.
• Support legal compliance processes, including VAT, corporate tax, WHT, audits, and statistical reporting.
• Perform internal controls within own area of responsibility.
• Handle asset accounting activities, including depreciation, additions, disposals, and related transactions.
• Handle inquiries and respond to accounting-related queries in a timely manner.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and support change implementation projects.

Introduction

We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance Mexico Team. In this role, you will carrying out Finance activities within the Metso Finance team in Irapuato, Mexico. In this position, you will report to the Mexico Finance Head.This role is based in Irapuato, Gto.

• 2+ years of experience in General Ledger accounting or finance operations.

• Advanced written and spoken English.
• SAP or other ERP system knowledge is considered an advantage.
