Flex is seeking a Cost Accountant located in Guadalajara, North, to maintain accounting records and analyze data to support financial statements. The role reports to the Controller and focuses on variance analysis, budgeting, and internal controls.

The position requires a BA/BS in Finance or related field, strong Excel skills, and a solid grasp of forecasting and P&L review. English proficiency is preferred to collaborate with global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Perform periodic review of P&L to ensure postings follow policy and procedures.
• Compare actuals with forecast/quote and ensure variances are researched and posted.
• Collect business reasons for variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger/manual schedules to identify variances.
• Review accounts periodically to identify risks and mitigation steps.
• Ensure month-end close and reporting activities are planned and executed accurately and on time.
• Assist in preparing Forecast/Budget for related accounts with Operations.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve business/operational metrics.
• Be familiar with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls in Controllers Handbook.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Cost Accountant located in Guadalajara, North. Reporting to the Controller, Cost Accountant role involves of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements.

Typical Day Looks Like

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly. researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

Experience We’re Looking To Add

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience Finance or related field or equivalent experience
