A recruitment agency is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join their team in Al-Kuwait. The role involves assisting the librarian in managing and organizing library resources, providing support to users, and maintaining records. The ideal candidate will have a preference for a Bachelor's degree in Library Science, organizational skills, and communication abilities. This position offers a salary of $900 per month and is open to all nationalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience working in a library setting is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using technology and computer systems for cataloging and record keeping.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members.

Responsabilités

• Assist the librarian in selecting, acquiring, organizing, and maintaining library materials.
• Catalog and classify new materials according to established standards.
• Maintain accurate records of library resources and transactions.
• Assist with the circulation of materials by checking items in and out, collecting fines, and issuing library cards.
• Answer basic reference questions and provide guidance to library users on how to locate materials.
• Assist with planning and promoting library programs and events.
• Create displays to showcase new or relevant materials.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the library space.
