Job summary

Keeta seeks an experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee daily transport operations between the Distribution Center and dark stores across Kuwait. You will manage routes, schedules, truck fleet usage, driver coordination, and performance metrics to ensure timely replenishment and high service levels.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field or 3+ years in transport/logistics, fluent English, and willingness to be based in Kuwait.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transportation operations from the DC to dark store locations in Kuwait
  • Plan and optimize routes, schedules, truck allocation and capacity based on demand
  • Manage and monitor the truck fleet, including availability and maintenance
  • Coordinate drivers and transport teams to meet schedules and safety standards
  • Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, route efficiency and costs
  • Track deliveries in real time and address delays or issues promptly
  • Collaborate with DC, dark stores, warehousing and operations teams for replenishment
  • Investigate transportation issues and implement corrective actions
  • Analyze data to identify route optimization, fleet utilization and cost improvements
  • Ensure compliance with transport policies, fleet safety standards and local regulations
  • Oversee training and development of drivers and transport staff
  • Prepare performance reports and provide data-driven insights to management
  • Support ongoing optimization of transport processes and DC-to-dark-store operations

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily transportation operations between the Distribution Center (DC) and assigned dark store locations across Kuwait. The role will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods from the DC to dark stores, managing delivery routes and schedules, overseeing truck fleet operations and utilization, monitoring driver performance, and maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and service quality.

The Transport Supervisor will also be responsible for route planning and optimization, delivery allocation, truck fleet management, vehicle utilization and availability, driver coordination, transportation performance tracking, and managing operational issues and delays. The role will work closely with DC and dark store teams to ensure smooth and reliable replenishment operations, minimize delivery delays, optimize transportation resources, and ensure that dark stores receive the required inventory on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily transportation operations from the Distribution Center (DC) to assigned dark store locations, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient movement of goods and smooth execution of replenishment plans.
  • Plan, coordinate, and optimize transport routes, delivery schedules, truck allocation, and delivery capacity based on business requirements, store demand, and operational priorities.
  • Manage and monitor the truck fleet, including vehicle availability, utilization, deployment, maintenance coordination, and overall fleet efficiency.
  • Coordinate and supervise drivers and transport teams, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules, assigned routes, operational procedures, safety requirements, and service standards.
  • Monitor daily transportation performance and key KPIs, including on-time delivery, route efficiency, vehicle utilization, delivery turnaround time, transportation costs, and service quality.
  • Track deliveries in real time, identify delays, route deviations, vehicle issues, and other transportation exceptions, and take timely corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Coordinate closely with DC, dark store, warehouse, operations, and other relevant teams to ensure accurate loading, dispatch, receiving, and timely replenishment of dark stores.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve transportation-related operational issues and delivery exceptions, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze transportation data and operational trends to identify opportunities for route optimization, fleet utilization, cost reduction, and process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company transportation policies, fleet safety standards, vehicle requirements, driver procedures, and applicable local regulations.
  • Oversee the training and development of drivers and transport team members, ensuring they have the required operational knowledge, safety awareness, and service standards.
  • Prepare regular transportation performance reports and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to management on fleet performance, route efficiency, operational issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development and continuous optimization of transportation processes, route planning, fleet management, and DC-to-dark-store delivery operations to improve efficiency, reliability, and overall service quality.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; alternatively, 3+ years of relevant experience in transport, logistics, or delivery operations.
  • Proven experience in delivery, transport, logistics, fleet, preferably within a fast-paced e-commerce or delivery environment.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Strong execution and follow-up skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good project management and process improvement capabilities.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to be based in Kuwait and work according to operational requirements, including flexible working hours when necessary.
