Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a Team Leader for Fruits & Vegetables in Kuwait. The role drives quality, range and freshness to enhance the customer experience and achieve sales targets.

You will motivate the team, address issues promptly, and coach members to deliver exceptional service in the store. Responsibilities include pricing governance, assortment oversight, supplier promotions, stock control, waste reduction, and compliant merchandising.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in commerce/finance.
• 3+ years in retail operations or similar.
• Pleasant and warm disposition with customer service focus.
• Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills.
• People-oriented with ability to build team spirit and motivation.
• Detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement the store pricing policy and product assortment in the Fruits & Vegetables section.
• Negotiate promotions with suppliers and manage in-store discount messaging.
• Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and drive improvements.
• Ensure proper stock management, reports, replenishment orders and deliveries.
• Minimize waste and shrinkage, and report on waste items.
• Identify slow-moving items and manage stock to reduce expiry risk.
• Manage displays to ensure correct pricing and plano-gram compliance.

Team Leader - Fruits & Vegetables | MAF Retail | Hypermarket Kuwait

ROLE SUMMARY

The Team Leader Fruits & Vegetables is responsible for implementing quality, range and freshness standards to facilitate an exceptional customer experience in order to achieve set sales targets. The team Leader is key a motivator ensuring all team members are working optimally, and that any problems are addressed immediately so that they do not impact customer service. Coaching and development is a critical responsibility to deliver an exceptional customer service within assigned section.

ROLE PROFILE

• Oversee and implement the commercial policy agreed for the store pricing.
• Oversee the products assortment in the section.
• Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers to enforce the image of discount inside the section Promo-Book.
• Monitor the NPS in the section work on improving areas that needs development.
• Ensure proper stock management (Preparing stock reports, stock value, control out of stock, stock replenishment orders and merchandise deliveries).
• Oversee and implement initiatives to ensure lowest waste and shrinkage ratio and control waste items report .
• Identify slow moving items and stock depreciation in order to help push their sales before expiry, if applicable.
• Manage and control displays to ensure correct pricing and Plano-gram is implemented at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• 3+ years in Retail operations role.
• Pleasant and warm disposition with a customer service orientation.
• Clear communicator.
• People orientated and able to build team spirit and motivation .
• Detail orientated.
