Job summary

Essway Cyber Security Solutions in Kuwait is seeking an experienced PCS 7 / Siemens Failsafe Safety System Engineer for an offshore project to support site commissioning of industrial automation and process control systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Siemens PCS 7 DCS, F-CPU/F-Systems, FAT/SAT, startup, troubleshooting, and coordination with offshore teams, with 4–8 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instrumentation, electronics, electrical, or control engineering.
• Minimum 4 years' experience with Siemens PCS 7 and safety systems.
• Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PCS 7 / Siemens Failsafe Safety System Engineer for an Offshore Project to support site commissioning activities for industrial automation and process control systems. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Siemens PCS 7 DCS, Failsafe Safety Systems (F-Systems), commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and startup support within Oil & Gas offshore environments

Key Responsibilities

Hardware

• Perform control panel and cabinet inspection in offshore environments.
• Verify wiring as per electrical drawings and loop diagrams.
• Execute loop checking and I/O verification.
• Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
• Verify field instrumentation and communication with control systems.
• Coordinate with offshore site teams and customers during commissioning activities.

Software

• Configure and modify Siemens PCS 7 control logic.
• Develop and modify Failsafe (F-CPU) safety logic as per project requirements.
• Perform logic testing, sequence testing, and functional testing.
• Configure and modify HMI/OS graphics and operator interfaces.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication issues.
• Support startup, commissioning, and system handover activities.
• Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Siemens PCS 7 Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Failsafe Safety Systems (F-CPU/F-Systems).
• Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
• Experience in FAT, SAT, loop checking, and commissioning.
• Expertise in troubleshooting DCS, PLC, and field instrumentation.
• Familiarity with Profibus, Profinet, Industrial Ethernet, and other industrial communication protocols.
• Good understanding of P&IDs, Cause & Effect diagrams, Logic Diagrams, and Instrument Loop Drawings.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
