Job summary

Anton Oilfield Services Group seeks an experienced Instrumentation Engineer in Kuwait to supervise maintenance teams and ensure safe, reliable operations across PLC, DCS, SCADA and ESD systems.

You will maintain documentation, calibration, and CMMS records, develop preventive programs, and mentor maintenance personnel while upholding safety and permit-to-work practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in instrumentation and control system maintenance.
• 4+ years in Oil & Gas or similar facilities.
• Experience with CMMS for asset maintenance.

Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer

Job Location: Kuwait.

Department: On Sync Energy Management Services Company.

Job Responsibilities

1. Supervise and lead instrumentation and control maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
2. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical instrumentation and control systems.
3. Maintain and support PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, fire & gas detection, and other industrial control systems.
4. Develop and maintain equipment records, asset information, and maintenance documentation within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
5. Maintain and update as-built drawings, technical documentation, and equipment catalogs.
6. Develop preventive maintenance programs and identify manpower, materials, and spare parts requirements.
7. Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation, control systems, and protective devices.
8. Diagnose instrumentation and control system faults and recommend corrective actions to improve system reliability.
9. Coordinate instrument testing, calibration, repair activities, and maintenance planning.
10. Prepare maintenance reports, shutdown analyses, failure investigations, corrective maintenance reports, and equipment history records.
11. Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work procedures, and maintenance best practices.
12. Coordinate audit compliance activities and implement corrective actions where required.
13. Develop and deliver technical training and induction programs for maintenance personnel.
14. Monitor maintenance performance and provide regular updates on manpower utilization, spare parts consumption, and maintenance activities.

Qualification Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in instrumentation and control system maintenance and 4 years of experience working in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or similar process facilities.
3. Strong experience maintaining field instrumentation, PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, fire & gas systems, and industrial control systems.
4. Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for asset and maintenance management.
5. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, calibration, fault diagnosis, and instrumentation reliability.
6. Experience maintaining technical documentation, equipment records, and as-built drawings.
7. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
8. Good understanding of industrial safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and maintenance best practices.
