Job summary

Bilfinger in Kuwait is seeking an experienced HSE professional to implement and monitor safety programs across Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical facilities.

You will lead risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and coordination with client representatives to ensure compliance and continuous HSE improvement. The role requires a strong engineering background and NEBOSH IGC, with extensive Oil & Gas HSE experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent internationally recognized HSE qualification.
• Experience: minimum 10 years in Oil & Gas HSE; 5 years in Refinery/Petrochemical.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with site HSE standards, PTW systems, and applicable safety procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Monitor work activities and ensure implementation of safe work practices.

Job Overview:

Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining HSE programs to ensure compliance with project, client, regulatory, and company safety requirements across Oil & Gas, Refinery, and Petrochemical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with site HSE standards, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and applicable safety procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Monitor work activities and ensure implementation of safe work practices.
• Promote safety awareness and support emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
• Prepare HSE reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with client representatives on HSE matters and provide professional HSE advice and support.
• Support continuous improvement of HSE performance through proactive monitoring and intervention.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of HSE procedures, PTW systems, risk management, incident investigation, and applicable industry standards.

All educational certificates and mark sheets shall be duly attested by the relevant authorities.

Competencies Required;

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university.

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas HSE experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Refinery/Petrochemical facilities.

• Level 6 Qualification - NEBOSH IDip / CSP.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Additional HSE-related certifications relevant to Oil & Gas operations.
