Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer for a 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line project in Kuwait. Immediate joining is required and 5+ years of HV/OHL planning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of planning experience in HV/OHL projects.
• Experience in 400 kV transmission line projects preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of OHL construction activities, including foundations, tower erection, stringing, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of progress measurement, delay analysis, and schedule control.
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update the detailed project baseline schedule using Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Plan and monitor engineering, procurement, civil works, tower erection, conductor/OPGW stringing, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline schedule.
• Identify delays, critical activities, schedule risks, and potential impacts on project milestones.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to collect accurate progress information.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and schedule updates.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and coordinate upcoming activities with site teams.
• Analyze project performance, productivity, critical path, and schedule variance.
• Prepare recovery programs and mitigation plans when required.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding planned activities and project milestones.
• Support the Project Manager with forecasting, progress measurement, resource planning, and schedule analysis.
• Maintain accurate project records and planning documentation.
