Job summary

Confidential in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our project team for a 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line. The role requires immediate joining and 5+ years of HV/OHL scheduling experience, with strong Primavera P6 expertise.

You will develop and maintain detailed baseline schedules, monitor progress, analyze critical paths, and coordinate with construction, procurement, and engineering teams to mitigate delays and keep milestones on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of planning experience in HV/OHL projects.
• Experience in 400 kV transmission line projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent is required.
• Strong analytical, coordination and reporting skills; immediate availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update the project baseline schedule using Primavera P6.
• Plan and monitor engineering, procurement, civil works, tower erection, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor progress against baseline and identify delays or risks.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to gather progress information.
• Support forecasting and schedule analysis for the Project Manager.

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team immediately for a 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHL) Project in Kuwait.

Position: Planning Engineer

Project: 400 kV Overhead Transmission Line

Location: Kuwait

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in similar HV/OHL projects

Joining: Immediate

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update the detailed project baseline schedule using Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Plan and monitor engineering, procurement, civil works, tower erection, conductor/OPGW stringing, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline schedule.
• Identify delays, critical activities, schedule risks, and potential impacts on project milestones.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to collect accurate progress information.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and schedule updates.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and coordinate upcoming activities with site teams.
• Analyze project performance, productivity, critical path, and schedule variance.
• Prepare recovery programs and mitigation plans when required.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding planned activities and project milestones.
• Support the Project Manager with forecasting, progress measurement, resource planning, and schedule analysis.
• Maintain accurate project records and planning documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of planning experience in similar high-voltage overhead transmission line projects.
• Experience in 400 kV transmission line projects is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent is required.
• Good understanding of OHL construction activities, including foundations, tower erection, conductor/OPGW stringing, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of progress measurement, critical path analysis, schedule control, and delay analysis.
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Immediate availability is mandatory.
