Job summary

D & H International Company W.L.L. in Kuwait City is seeking a store team leader to assist the Store Manager in planning actions to meet monthly sales targets and to monitor sales and customer service with the Manager. You will develop knowledge of the collection to increase selling potential and inform Headquarters of significant issues.

You will train staff, ensure proper cash desk procedures, and maintain merchandising standards while driving team development and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• To assist the Store Manager in planning the required measures to meet monthly sales targets.
• To continually monitor, together with the Store Manager, the evolution of sales and customer service.
• To develop knowledge of the collection to increase selling potential.
• To inform managers and Headquarters of anything impacting store management or sales.
• To keep good communication with Headquarters.
• To carry out administrative duties with regard to personnel, maintenance, cash desk, etc.
• To ensure correct procedures at the cash desk are followed.
• To be familiar with the characteristics that define the store's initial order.
• To assist in the correct end of season return of goods (Stock takings).
• To train team members to improve competencies and results.
• To train and develop people so they learn functions of other positions.
• To enrich work, provide motivation by delegating functions, and supervise delegation.
• To promote polyvalence and recognize potential for other roles.
• To understand merchandising importance and concepts and apply decisions accordingly.

Job description

• To keep good communication with the Headquarters.
• To carry out all the necessary administrative duties with regard to personnel, maintenance, cash desk, etc.
• To ensure correct procedures at the cash desk are followed.
• To be familiar with the characteristics (catalogue, groups, etc.) that define the initial order of the store.
• To assist in the correct end of the season return of goods (Stock takings).
• The person uses the Development Interview to strengthen delegation and development.
• They train the members of the team so that they improve their Competencies and their results.
• They train and develop people intensively so that they learn the functions of other positions.
• They enrich the work of the members of the team and provide motivation by delegating functions in the store. They supervise delegation sufficiently.

• The person ensures that the section is kept up to the merchandising Standard. They systematically restock the section, keeping it attractive for purchases. It is maintained without gaps and kept clean and with a good selection.

• Merchandising: They are familiar with VM and involve themselves in it.
• Sales space (installations)
• Stockroom: They supervise the organisation of the Stockroom, its cleaning and maintenance, ensure that the order is up to date, etc.
• They are constantly aware of all of the key aspects of the business. Their attitude is to not allow themselves to be distracted and to be on top of everything (team leader).
