Job summary

Confidential Company in Kuwait seeks a qualified QHSE specialist to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies within chemical manufacturing and laboratory operations.

You will collaborate with QA/QC teams, conduct audits, monitor KPIs, and deliver training to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA in Health, Safety and Environmental Management.
• Knowledge of chemical handling, hazardous materials management and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing or laboratory settings.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA and REACH regulations.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining QHSE policies and procedures.
• Support QA/QC in audits, inspections, and assessments.
• Monitor and report on quality, health, safety, and environmental KPIs.
• Facilitate staff training on QHSE practices and emergency procedures.
• Maintain records of safety incidents, compliance issues, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

• Certifications Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH OSHA or equivalent in Health Safety and Environmental Management Additional qualifications in Quality Management Systems e g ISO 9001 or Laboratory Practices are advantageous
• Technical Expertise Proficiency in chemical safety protocols laboratory procedures and quality control methods Knowledge of chemical handling hazardous materials management and regulatory compliance
• Experience Hands‑on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or laboratory setting Proven track record of assisting in the implementation and monitoring of QHSE policies and procedures
• Regulatory Knowledge Familiarity with local national and international regulations and standards related to chemical manufacturing and laboratory operations e g OSHA EPA REACH
• Analytical Skills Strong ability to analyze and interpret data prepare reports and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
• Communication Skills Effective verbal and written communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders including regulatory bodies internal teams and external partners

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development implementation and maintenance of QHSE policies and procedures within the chemical manufacturing and laboratory environment
• Support the QAQC team in conducting regular audits inspections and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company protocols
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to quality health safety and environmental performance
• Facilitate training and awareness programs for staff on QHSE practices safety protocols and emergency procedures
• Maintain up-to-date records of safety incidents compliance issues and corrective actions taken
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address and resolve QHSE related concerns ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence .
