Job summary

Refrigeration Industries & Storage and Oil Services Co. (K.S.C.) is seeking an HSE professional to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

You will implement workplace safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, and promote a safe working environment for all employees. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, leading safety inductions, investigations, and emergency preparedness activities, and maintaining HSE documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• Relevant HSE certification (NEBOSH/IOSH) preferred.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to conduct inspections and safety briefings and maintain HSE records.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and company requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare reports.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees.
• Monitor PPE use and ensure safety requirements are met.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, and safety statistics.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including drills and evacuations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with departments to promote a strong safety culture.

Job Purpose:

To ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, implement workplace safety procedures, and promote a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations, safety standards, and company requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare incident reports.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees.
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection records, incident reports, and safety statistics.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor waste management and environmental practices to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Coordinate with department heads and employees to promote a strong safety culture across the workplace

Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
• Relevant HSE certification, such as NEBOSH/ IOSH is preferred.
• Previous experience in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing/ industrial/ construction environment.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures.
• Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct inspections, deliver safety briefings, and maintain HSE records.
