About the Role.
Job Title: Materials Engineer
Department: On Sync Energy Management Services Company.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide techno-commercial support to the procurement and maintenance teams.
- Coordinate the repair and refurbishment of major equipment and components.
- Liaise with operations, procurement, and stores to evaluate technical bids, resolve technical queries, and address material discrepancies.
- Review and manage spare parts requirements for new projects and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for material codification and procurement.
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of materials for shutdowns, overhauls, and planned maintenance.
- Verify material availability reports and provide regular inventory and procurement status updates.
- Maintain accurate inventory and procurement records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other enterprise software.
- Support continuous improvement of inventory management and procurement processes.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of techno-commercial experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Industrial sector.
- Minimum 4 years of experience using CMMS, ERP, or inventory management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, material codification, and spare parts management.
- Experience in technical bid evaluation, vendor coordination, and procurement support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other engineering or enterprise management software.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
