Job summary

Anton Oilfield Services Group in Kuwait is seeking a Materials Engineer to manage techno-commercial aspects of procurement and inventory. You will coordinate repairs, assess bids, and ensure timely material availability for shutdowns and maintenance, while maintaining CMMS and ERP records.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, instrumentation, or electrical engineering and 8+ years in oilfield or related sectors, with strong procurement and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years techno-commercial experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Industrial sector.
• Minimum 4 years using CMMS, ERP, or inventory management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, material codification, and spare parts management.
• Experience in technical bid evaluation, vendor coordination, and procurement support.

Responsibilities

• Provide techno-commercial support to the procurement and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate the repair and refurbishment of major equipment and components.
• Liaise with operations, procurement, and stores to evaluate technical bids, resolve technical queries, and address material discrepancies.
• Review and manage spare parts requirements for new projects and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Prepare technical specifications and documentation for material codification and procurement.
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of materials for shutdowns, overhauls, and planned maintenance.
• Verify material availability reports and provide regular inventory and procurement status updates.
• Maintain accurate inventory and procurement records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other enterprise software.
• Support continuous improvement of inventory management and procurement processes.
