Job summary

Egis in Kuwait seeks a Senior Security Engineer for port and terminal operations. You will design and manage comprehensive security systems, lead risk assessments, and ensure compliance with ISPS and international maritime standards, while coordinating with law enforcement and internal teams.

You will oversee security personnel, conduct audits, and maintain detailed documentation. Strong English communication and port-security certifications are preferred for this senior role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of professional security experience, incl. 5+ years in port/maritime security.
• Expertise in physical security systems, access control, and surveillance tech.
• Strong knowledge of ISPS Code and international maritime security regulations.
• Experience in risk assessment, threat analysis, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency with SIEM and security monitoring tools.
• Leadership experience managing security teams and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+).
• Port-specific security certifications or training (preferred).
• Experience with incident investigation and response procedures.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals related to port ops.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage priorities.
