Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with at least 5 years in port, terminal, or heavy industrial equipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanical systems for port/terminal ops (cranes, conveyors, loading systems).
• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical equipment to identify issues and actions.
• Oversee maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of mechanical equipment.
• Lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians; provide guidance and development.
• Manage capital and maintenance budgets; ensure cost-effective resource use.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols per international maritime standards.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and vendors to optimize performance.
• Use CAD and engineering tools to create drawings, specs, and docs.
• Conduct inspections and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Analyze operations data; recommend improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
