Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our port and terminal operations in Kuwait City. You will lead design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems critical to port operations, guiding a team of engineers and technicians to ensure safe, reliable power distribution and compliance with international maritime standards.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and oversee electrical systems for port terminal operations.
• Analyze performance and perform root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning per standards and regulations.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical equipment.
• Lead and mentor technicians and junior engineers with technical guidance.
• Maintain electrical documentation including diagrams and procedures.
• Conduct electrical safety audits and implement protocols for a safe workplace.
• Collaborate with project managers to plan capital improvements within budget and timeline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and infrastructure for port terminal operations, including power distribution networks, backup power systems, and control systems
• Analyze electrical system performance and conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures, providing efficient solutions to minimize downtime
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams to optimize system reliability
• Lead and mentor a team of electrical technicians and junior engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback
• Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical documentation, including single-line diagrams, control schematics, and standard operating procedures
• Conduct electrical safety audits and implement safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to plan and execute capital improvement projects within budget and timeline constraints
• Monitor and optimize energy consumption across terminal operations, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in port and maritime electrical systems
