Job summary

Zwayakw Interior Design & General Contracting in Kuwait City seeks an experienced Interior Designer to lead design journeys from concept to construction documentation and site execution.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors and clients to deliver sophisticated, functional spaces, with a strong emphasis on FF&E, materials, lighting, and detailing, while upholding quality and visual excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Excellent understanding of space planning, design principles, lighting, materials, and detailing.
• Proven experience in preparing complete construction drawing packages.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E selection and material specifications.
• Familiarity with local construction methods, materials, and building regulations in Kuwait.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts aligned with client requirements, budgets, and project objectives.
• Create professional mood boards, material palettes, and client presentations.
• Prepare detailed space planning, furniture layouts, and interior design documentation.
• Produce accurate construction drawings suitable for project execution.
• Select and specify FF&E, finishes, lighting, materials, and decorative elements.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site surveys, take measurements, and monitor site progress.
• Attend client meetings and confidently present design proposals.
• Ensure the original design vision is maintained throughout construction.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Role Overview

As an Interior Designer at Zwayakw, you will lead projects throughout the complete design journey - from concept development to construction documentation and site execution.
